Inspiration

My inspiration is artist Ronit Baranga. She is an Israeli sculptor that works with clay to create creepy pieces that seem to burst from the two dimensional space and come alive. I am drawn to her work because of the unsettling realness of the hands and body parts that twist and contort out of the surfaces they rest on. I also like the idea of combining the human figure with manmade objects, and would like to include that concept in some of my work.
